Those Who Don't Know

Q:  I am ten and I would like to know this question:  When Jesus comes back to earth, what will happen to the people who don't know about Jesus? Will they go to heaven or be left on earth? I would like to know.

A:  That's a very good question...the Bible says the saved will greet Jesus and welcome him to earth and those that are lost because they don't have Jesus will be cast away with Satan to the place of punishment. I hope this helps you understand. If not, then please let me know.

Murder or Duty?

Q:  When you kill someone while fighting in the Marines etc, how does God look upon that? I know it's against the 10 commandments but it is also serving our country.

A:  Your question on killing in war as a duty for your country is complicated. Some who are pacifists say any retaliation is wrong, others think fighting for freedom/country is reasonable. I think, like everything else, it depends on your heart and the reason you do so. Nationalism, however, is not Biblical. We are citizens of Heaven who honor God by His will over national concern.

Time of Death

Q:  Will I know when I'm going to die? Does God give us a sign that others won't know but me?

A:  There is no biblical evidence of such knowledge, but there are some who have a sense of their pending departure or reveal they are aware they don't have long.

Is Hell A Threat?

Q:  If God loves us so much, why does He threaten us with hell if we don't choose Him?

A:  He is not threatening us, He is keeping His word that those who sin against him and want to live without his reign in their lives choose hell. Our sin's income is death and punishment, he is only giving us what we deserve. His love is what sent Jesus to take that all away.

My Age in Heaven?

Q:  How old will everybody be in heaven? Will we age in heaven?

A:  I tend to believe that age (its effects as seen by aging) is a result, for the most part, of the fall sin brought about. So there will be no aging. But what age is a great question that is not revealed in scripture...but you have me thinking.

Left Behind?

Q:  What is your view of the rapture? if it's true will those remaining have a "second chance", like in the Left Behind series?

A:   I tend not to subscribe to the rapture as taught by Tim LaHaye. We are seeking to possibly hold a forum in the future of subjects related to the end times and the positions taken by various camps.

Limited Atonement?

Q:  What is your view on "limited atonement"? Is it true?

A:  Simply, we believe in free will and not in limited atonement. The principle is clarified by saying "we get to vote in our own election" and God desires that no men should perish but all come to repentance.
